Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

Lancaster....have a fresh 70 & they give me a load going to Lawrence ks that can't pick up until 1530

great ....downtown Dallas on I-35 at 5pm .... Should be FUN!

 

Sitting at rest area on 70 just across the Indiana line in Ohio....wrong rest area to stop at DOT starting early here.

 

Get load dropped off, early, some had their doubts.
Slap out of hours, reset makes sense at this point since not gaining hours until that point on recap anyhow.
Head over to motel, just to park and get a nap in, figuring a room wouldn't be available till afternoon.
Check in, and fantastic got a room. Great drove all night, going to hit the rack.
Go back to truck to get gear...
This is what I find.
Flat tire. Hmm, its only flat on one side.
Bummer, But Road Service is on the ball, other than hold time which is a management issue, repairs came quickly. Steer tire, can't patch, have to put a new tire on.
I wonder if other rag tag outfits would have tried to just patch it.

 

Getting north of Dallas at 530pm was a lot of fun.....

in Lawrence KS.... Getting another crappy overnight load into MO...atleast I can run in the dark lol

just did mine in Lancaster ...$2.50 cause I washed it twice lol ...you could alway take it on home ...you can hold out up to another 14 days right lol

Had a tire replaced yesterday at the TCI in Lancaster. The lady I checked in with had been on hold with RS for 15 min at that point for authorization for another driver, it took another 15 before she got through. Luckily she was able to get both trailers approved for repairs once she got a human on the line... I think road service must be unusually overwhelmed due to the dot blitz.
