Just waiting to find out when and where to.
I suspect it'll be in the morning, as I have a whooping 2 hours left on 70. Then working 10*s off my recap. Thanks Ann Ferro, since I got 34, just not 2 times between 1 and 5. Stupid rule. Makes zero sense.

I'd get a hotel room instead of idling truck. But not going to drop the coin till I know for sure what I'm doing.
Then if I wait till 4 or later, well then its not worth my cost. I'll idle.

 

I called the suggestion line as I idled.
Others should too.
Years ago we used to get 20 buck or 25 reimbursement for hotel room.
Back then could get a 20 to 30 dollar room easy.
I suggested the reimburse like 40 bucks for hotel room. This would be contingent maybe, say your logging a reset, or have say 18 to 20 hours dwell time under load or on board.
Something to prevent the abuse.
Used to have guys get rooms to just get a shower or a couple hours.
But if on board at 9 am Tues and not getting a load till Wed. I'll burn more than 40 bucks in fuel.
I'm willing to eat half the cost
Get that other half back from taxes.
Call option 5. Hit 1 then 5 then 8 to Go to suggestions line.

 

THat's bad news. I've been close, but haven't crossed the line yet.

One of the most horrible thing about driving truck.....you can't control nature. I'll be at a truck stop with 30 toilets, won't need one. I'll drive out into the middle of nowhere, and my stomach will start screaming at me until I'm sweating bullets just hoping I can make it to the next rest area which happens to be sixty miles down the road.

 

Those 44 oz pilot cups can come in handy in that situation.
