T h e great thing about relays.
They rarely work as planned.
Been hanging out for 29 hours or so.
Got a nap yesterday. Wonderful nights sleep. Previous consignee right around corner to truckstop. Napped again this afternoon. Relay wont be here till later. And continues to be later. Not even dispatched to my leg (all 350 milez of it) yet.
But then again, I'm sure the teams are doing well.
Wish we humans could bank the surplus sleep for later use.
The later this relay gets, the more I'll wish I had sleep in the bank.
Maybe I'll listen to some Pink Floyd...ticking away the moments that make up a dull day. Friter and waste the hours in a off hand way...

Would have preferred to be on the Wells Nevada end of the relay.
At least can get free cokes, hot dogs and showers at the houses of ill repute.

 

Communication. It's like a one way street sometimes.
Relay suppose to be here @2030. As I had already figured, but only confirmed by having to ask. Running late for reasons I'm not privy to. Won't be to me till at least 0230. I'm certain I won't be tired, since I planned my rest around a earlier time.
Oh well that's trucking.
I'll get the coffee ready.
I'll get the whole second season of Hell on Wheels watched.

Yes, it's so terrible working for a company that doesn't route you. That doesn't restrict you from running toll roads.
But then again. It sure is nice having the Austin bypass all to yourself.
Run it all the way to Seguin, miss the Alamo too.
