Yeah lost that load due to it being 500lbs over on the tandems when in compliance with California's stupid inner bridge law. I probably should have just run it at 41' -- that I-8 outbound scale is closed 80% of the time...

Spent yesterday and this morning playing trailer repair jockey, but this afternoon I'm heading to Ogden UT. I always prefer 1000+ mile runs, but as long as they can fit in 3000 miles/week I don't really mind short hauls (more opportunities to earn detention). And most weeks Con-way planners seem to do a good job at that -- 3500+ miles for past two weeks straight.

Not that they can always make it happen -- especially on those waco & waverly outbound loads (they really need to pay layover @ 24 hours when on those runs)

 

Heading to waverly.226 miles dead head for a relay in sparks Nevada. 1400 miles. Not a bad start to the week. Student is doing well and was complimented on his backing by an old timer today. Old guy had a look of shock on his face when my student told him he was a rookie and this was only his second day...

Love when they do that! Last night dispatched at 0300 on a 3 hour run delivering at 0800. Trailer had 3 weeping hub seals, a bad service air line fitting, and a missing marker light -- and I had to go through the Banning scales (during dot brake check week) to deliver. It & I had been at the Calexico yard for the past 24 hours, but why give me ample time to pretrip & repair? Thankfully there was no line @ the Coachella TA so I still managed to send my form 8 @ 0759, but not without undue stress.

Written from a Bosselman shop getting a different trailer's tire replaced. Man I hate drop & hooks.

 

Well back at home #5 probally 2morow el paso freight slow went by Mexican customs only saw 1 of our trls so its not looking good factory in mexico has slowed down big time ......
