Headed to West Memphis to pick up relay to Miami FL for Friday 8am
then home time !

 

Sitting in Maryland exit 100, delivered in Rocky Mount,NC then grabbed a load right out of there coming back up I-95 to New Brunswick,NJ, hopefully we'll get a load out of the Northeast

 

Springville, UT

Should have been in Ogden by now, but sections of US-95 got closed in California due to flooding and then the detour on old 95 got closed just when I backtracked to it... Even still I got to drive through 6" of water flowing across the highway.

Oh well, truck needed the wash after the Calexico mud bath. Plus I got to enjoy my fresh rain-x job and new wipers in a downpour -- one of life's little pleasures.


Forgot to post this last week -- it made me chuckle (most departments might call it a vice squad):

 

Had 2 options today ethier go a fifth day without a shower or be late on a preloaded pickup.
Went with option 2. They can just use one of the other fifty empties instead of mine.

Now 3 days to deliver on a 700 mile run.
Says don't deliver early. So yippie another sub 2k week.

No paid routing sent with dispatch as well.

Guess more ppl are fed up with the sandbagging routes and newly appointed FM's since Saul took over and this is their response. Its like they are afraid to dh you over 50 miles. Quite sad actually they need some more part timers who aren't afraid of the mother ship. Let's start with some morbidly obese Asian man as an operator who says howdy other than ms salutations (whom is quite enjoyabIe to mess with) can't tell the difference and that's done on purpose of course.

 

Well my midnight relay at West Memphis turned into 11am tomorrow, guess ill get rested up before I head to Florida!!

 

Ahhh all is getting right in the world Paul is headed back to Florida where he belongs and here before ya know it I'll be back in visiting old aniqua the pet rats @ the freight yard & doing unpaid locals in Chicago. (whoop some butt if she saw the bein called old)

Lucky is finally changing, got a preplan pickup up in 4 locations in NY and NJ going to Conroe,TX and then to Laredo,TX grand total 2156 miles due by Monday, that gives us 3048 miles for the week, yee haw !!!

Was suppose to be readyv at 2000, now 0400, but told to check back at midnight, might be ready early, which is still late.
Either way, Vandalia Illinios Ponderosa is in my future lunch b plans, running out of turkey dogs.
