I am at the Con-way Freight in Bessemer, Al. They got a separate 60+ spot lot just for Bobtails. Ate at Logan's a couple blocks away. Fueled here also. Gonna take a CWF load out of here at 06:00 headed for CWF in Shreveport.

Not always. But it sure seems like it happens like that more than it should. Feels like you're being punished for going home.

99.9 percent of my highlighted weeks suck completely. Seems like it's when I get the really oddball loads that deliver at all different times and I never get any sleep. They blame it on the fact that I live in Florida. But I hear the same from people who live elsewhere. I think they just want to punish us for wanting to go home.

Yeah, I'd be a rich man if I had a dollar for every time I've heard a trucker say "There's alot of freight going into Florida but there's nothing coming out, I get stuck every time I go down there". Works exactly opposite for me. Struggle to get home but they have no trouble at all getting me out.

Exactly!! There is no shortage of freight, it's just all cheap freight I guess. There are always loads coming out of the Paper mills, water loads, and of course Michaels. It's only because we live there that there is a problem. They just dont like us going home.

Ok but how can you explain that I never got more than 1800 miles after I highlighted? Even if it took my FM 7-8 days to get me home. Also I don't live somewhere where its difficult to find a freight which goes to. :biggrin_25511:

Well I'll be unloaded after 2pm today...better than tomorrow! ECU51 shouldn't be rolling his eyes since he on regional and seems to get by the house every weekend....we all wish we could be that lucky...but most of us FL guys like the warm weather ...beaches and cold beer (as well as no state income tax) I have thought about Tennessee as I have family up there but my wife's not going for it!
