Jacksonville yard. went on the board at 0830 with 9 hours drive time, just started dozing at 1530 when assigned a "hot" load right where I had unloaded (25 miles away). squeeze in an 8-hr break so I can deliver in SC by 0800, hit the shipper and do all their ppe & trailer inspection mumbo jumbo, drop mine, hook to the loaded, replace one light, fix jerry-rigged wiring on another, set the tandems at 41 feet, and finally start heading for the Latta flying J. Get 15 miles down the road and I'm dispatched to drop it in jacksonville. Instead of 330 miles (plus 50 miles OOR to find parking) I get a nice ####-you 36 mile dispatch... $13?! I #### near used that much in gojo cleaning my hands! Waste of a day -- waste of the last week or two... My new FM has been out so it seems like all the other FMs are piling their #### loads on me...

Want to highlight, but I have jury duty in 2 weeks so the timing is wrong. Sure makes those purty pictures in the truck paper look more and more interesting...

 

Sitting here behind Michael's in Odessa,TX nice place to have to shut down, 1/3 of the load delivers @ 3am so we got here early hoping to get in unload early but they didn't have enough staff, so we walked inside looked around, bought afew things and then headed to Ross, then to HEB. For anyone who has to deliver here, there's Taco Bell, Chick-a-fil, Texas Roundhouse,BWW's and some BBQ place right next to Michael's, but none of that for me tonight we having Sushi !!!

 

500 miles deadheading around Montana.
Which is fine other than the 50 mph winds.
2nd load not panning out well. Was dispatch for 0900, that's 200 miles I lost from previous load on today's productivity.
Hard to make a days loss up.
I call new shipper to ask if ok to park. Google looked like room, but not alot.
She said load won't be ready till 1pm to call tomorrow at noon.
I'll be calling ops 1st thing in am.
Wait till 1vpm, that's more time flushed away. Then since I'm not a shipper will get jipped out of detention.

 

Anyone else just now doing their health assessment & insurance elections???

yah. It actually worked out OK since I became eligible for layover pay from the prior load since that next run became <100 miles. If you know a good place to park closer to R10 though, shot me a pm...

Got an M load now -- opened the trailer to throw on straps & nearly became overwhelmed by potpourri...

 

Closer to I-10? In JAX ?

 

Just closer to R10 so I don't have as much OOR if I get dispatched to pu a load 8 hours after delivering there...

Finished this morning in Lubbock,TX got a load right out of there d/h to Amarillo pick up at the Copper plant headed to Bremen,IN for Friday but may get it dropped in Joplin,MO got to get afew things fixed my inverter being the main one, shop screwed it up last time so now we have to take it back to them to have them fix it, hoping it will work better this time
