Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

Yeah its a tunnel underneath a strip mall. The docks are inside parallelish to the tunnel pathway. They use elevators to bring the freight up go the stores. Definitely intended for box truck & pup deliveries, but wth -- this is why they pay me the big bucks! (looks at last week's check). Errr, this is why they pay me...

 

Headed to Williamsport MD H&D then up to Concord ONT.

 

Sitting at the Holiday Inn, truck in the shop to get the inverter fixed,fuel filters changed and qualcomm mounted, oh yeah and get the side of our truck fixed where some a-hole back into us last night while we were sleeping then took off before we could get up, so just above the fuel tank it's crushed in so body shop is saying maybe 1-2 days for it to get fixed

So US 219 thru PA/NY is a real 14 hr waster ...atleast with 35k in the box , doing a 10 here then cross into Canada in AM , 120 mi to Concord ONT.

 

Sign says "All vehicles running engines over 3 minutes in this tunnel will be subject to a $1000 fine or 30 days in jail or both" -- took me 45 minutes to get straight enough in the dock for the dock plate to not be floating on one side (and that required sliding tandems back and forth to change the articulation). Still ended up about 10* off kilter -- need a daycab...


That wasn't even the worst part -- on the way out there is a stupid Z-curve (still in the narrow tunnel) and even with the tandems all the way forward and setting up wide -- you can't make the 2nd turn without re-enacting the golf-cart scene from Austin Powers (or tempting fate by driving the trailer tires up/over a sharp 10" high curb).

 

In Gulag Canada freight is awesome out got a great reload out of Canada hello oteymesa.. great week 4250 miles at aw root beer free with WiFi

 

Double yellow they should hire a day cab just for that place.

 

Sitting up here in Salisbury, NC at the Wilco. Hazmat load in W-S in the PM to Tampa , FL for Monday then home for turkey.
