That is so true, there's a Meijer in Florence KY I75 exit 181 that allows trucks to shop there u just can't stay overnight, there's also a Wegmans in Lakewood,NY we stopped in they're one time went up there to a plant to pickup engines and load wasn't ready so guard told us where Wegmans was also had a Kmart right next door and we stayed overnight bobtail there, love that store

I walked there. They do have a free limo service. But i needed a place to walk.
Only 3/4 mile from pilot.
So I get seated. Get my water in a plastic kids type cup. I'm a big boy, i won't spill it.
Waiter tells me fryer is down, steaks are taking forever, i should try the ribs.
I said no thanks, ribs are for bar b que joints, this is a steakhouse.
Place was not busy. I had all day, but something about waiter attitude stuck in my craw. I simply left.
Walked down and around to T\A, then back past petro for some dunkin doughnuts coffee. Back to pilot.
20+ years I've driven past that trap, no I know why I didn't stop.

Yep paul that was the tunnel there was a rockslide shut down the interstate

They detoured us on 460 east had to exit 1 in wv.....I went the other way from everyone else as usual...it was snowin up there.

so I finally get a pre-plan ... 2150 mi to Caliexico CA... Yep 9 days before Xmas grrr prob will need to relay this east of Amarillo .... Is everyone highlighting on Monday ?

 

I hilighted a few days ago in Montreal so I could get another 3000-mile Calexico run (it worked)... Unfortunately I'll probably be stuck there a day or two until enough miles roll off that I no longer exceed the 4000-mile 8-day limit. Should get home on the 20th or 21st and come back 26th

 

Columbus OH ...getting unloaded in the snow ... Started at bout 4am til 10am or so ...few inches

But enough to slip my axel on , looks like in pre-plan to pick up local load (prob up at CWF) and deliver
Then 71 mi deadhead to Dayton OH pick up @ 1700 for Calexico CA


Put in my highlight ...prob will have to relay this before I get too far west
