Sitting at the Flying J in Rock Hill, SC, waiting on a relay to get me home. This will be my last run for a while, as I have been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, and must come off the road for treatment. Going to miss those wild Fleet 21 runs. I'm going to see if I can't get FMLA or some kind of leave, as I have only been with the company for 6 months. We'll see, meanwhile, time to tackle the badness!

Sitting at Flying J in Pembroke, NY will have been here 20 hrs b4 leaving due to extra time on load. Preplanned from Cambridge, ON to lockbourne, OH and have 48 hrs for that run (440 mi.) I complained about all the sitting and was told to get to Conway Freight Columbus, OH ASAP after pick up. Seems like termination is in my future since the delivery is only 19 mi. From freight so I doubt it's for a relay. Called 2 companies just incase An egg company lookIng for drivers ($0.37 p/m) and a small outfit owned by the same family (22% of load). Both are the wife's family friends and it will be my choice which one to go w/ Egg place is home weekends but less money and the % company is over the road 3 weeks out up to 5 days off. Find out the skinny tomorrow I suppose, wish con-way had the freight to keep me moving so I wouldn't need to complain but still think its one of the more professional acting and better large OTR truckload companies. I will update around midnight tomorrow
**update** no termination, dispatcher needs the truck to turn more miles not just me so he is hatching a plan, doesn't know what it is yet but he's working on "something, kind of, possibly" w/ a foundation like that I'm remotivated, that's right folks, I'm that easy to motivateLast edited: Feb 7, 2012

A positive attitude goes along way when fighting the Big C. Don't let it consume you. Dig deep and find a way to remain active.
