That's all only true if you live in California.

    Why are you eating Ramen?

Every read the ingredients? Seen how much SALT there is?

If you can't pronounce an ingredient why eat it?

I think its unanimous, if you're just getting started, bare bones minimum to spend, the best bang for your buck has to be that lil lunchbox cooker and Walmart loaf pans! Start there, heck, some of us stay there! I've had a micro in the past and may go back to that in the future, but for now that lil lunchbox, some canned goods from momma's pantry (if the college kids left me any) and some leftovers all work pretty well. Its not ideal, but definitely better than the TS food or over priced crappy fast food. I would say to throw in some seasonings also.....I'd be lost without my Johnny's or my pepper.

Truck609 has it right for newbies, its the way to go.Get the tackle box stove period...I mean i would have my cooler with me and know i wold be gone a week.I'd put leftover pizza(good pizza from my local pizza place),cutup steak(to make steak sandwiches),leftover from when i was home, loaf of bread & butter, campbells chunky soup,TGIF potato skins, mozzarella sticks, good premium burritos with a small jar of salsa.Breakfast items wold be sausage biscuits, pancake rollups, cereal & milk.I had a 12 volt heater element for my coffee(but usually I would just buy it at the pilot or mcdees).I mean you can bring chips, donuts, & coffee cake as well. YOu can really get creative & it'll taste better, and save you lots of money.

The salt is in the flavor packet ... throw it away, then add your own goodies to the noodles.

One other thing, when you start making the big bucks promised you, treat yourself to a good steak dinner at the Big Texan in Amarillo. Then the following month treat yourself to the lobster and seafood buffet at Boomtown in Verdi Nv. Only when you start making money first.

I have the lunchbox/stove and a coleman cooler works great, cooks just about anything rice, boneless chicken, pasta, eggs etc. Stock up at walmart also buy the oven bags, I cook a lot in the oven bag so I don't use the foil pans too much, you can reuse the bags
