I'm not waiting for charcoal to warm up. Sometimes I stop and get dinner cooking 2 hrs before I stop for the day,. If it's raining? Can't cook outside.

while i don't cook in my trk...i am very careful on where and what i eat...
my main question to u might be,if u can't make enuf $ out here to eat, why would you do this in the first place? i have been driving for over 30 years and feel like my very small 'home' does NOT need to smell like stale cooking! -

I had a 2 burner hotplate and the microwave...and a 1500 watt inverter, also one of those as seen on tv 101 cookers...I could cook anything I wanted to...took a toaster oven out on one trip but never used it. We save a lot of money on food, eat more healthy and eat better tasting food. I can't cook for 2 so always have an extra plate for a driver that may be stuck waiting on money or a load...have a little 4 cup coffee pot for the wee hour start time. It sounds like alot of stuff but really isn't, fits in a plastic tub with the paper plates and plastic ware...I did a small pork loin, baked beans and baked potatoes one night...spaghetti, homemade potato soup, meatloaf (slow cooker) lol
