I'm still with my Trainer for another 4.5 weeks so I'm limited to what i can do in "His Truck" But when i get my own i plan to eat in it all the time. Eating Breakfast and dinner out is eating up my piddly training pay.It is also adding to my waist line. I'm deffintly going to do some walking and exercise when i get my truck. I knew there was some big truckers but I was surprised to see majority of truckers are obese and some morbaly obese. seeing all the unhealthy truckers makes me more determined to eat healthy and exercise. oh and i figure 8 out 10 truckers smoke.

We eat in our truck more then we eat out but sheeeet, my pants are still getting tight. I stretch everyday when my boyfriend and I get going in the morning but I've not been walking like I intended to. Have to or I'll have to buy new pants, #### it Joe. There is a #### roll growing around my middle. When I sit I can see it bulging out. That is gross. Been there done that before, hope to get off my arse and walk, breath in some fresh air and not eat anymore of those pastries you can get for free when you buy a 24 ounce drink. Lord help me please to be a good girl.

Trying to figure out what to get first. I think the lunchbox. Any opinion which brand (Burton or Road Pro) is better. Are there others, or would the oven or crockpot be better?:biggrin_25511:

I'd go with the roadpro lunch box. I find I can do almost anything with it and I like it even better than a crockpot. Get a box of aluminum foil and a bunch of those aluminum foil pans for easy clean up. Buy them at wal mart or the dollar store.......don't get them at the truck stops they'll cost a fortune. If you wipe the lunch box cooker out after each use it'll stay nice and clean. If you have spillage etc, just plug it in, get hot again with a little bit of water in it. The steam will loosen what's cooked on. Make sure it's dry inside when you put it up otherwise it'll smell bad next time you use it.

I have the RoadPro. Love it. Just do what Nana said. Speaking of which it smells like my dinner is about done..

I've used both brands and really couldn't tell the difference. I used the Burton on the road and was later given a RoadPro as a gift. Buy your foil pans a WalMart or Dollar General.

Even the simplest of meals helped avoid the usual fast food of the typical so-called truck stop today. When I first started, my trainer ate all of his meals out. I spent alot of money in the beginning. You can go through a hundred bucks very quickly. But after using the lunchbox cooker, I save plenty of money, and ate better. Take that hundred bucks and buy groceries.

Easy stuff, like dumping a can of chili in the pan, and cutting up a hot dog weiner into it. A short ways down the road, open a pack of crackers and you've got a hot meal. You can shop at the Redneck Mall (Walmart) or The Redneck Department Store (Dollar General) and buy easy to heat canned stuff. Also things like a chicken breast and some veggies and some cajun seasoning is great. Cooks rather quickly.

Watch the TS's. About every month or so, you will find them on sale. I got mine for 20 bucks... Wish I would have got 2 now....

Your not kidding. 3 for $4 at the TS, and I just picked up a bunch at Wally World, 5 for 99 cents.
