There is some odor - but usually it smells pretty good - LOL - at least I'd like to think so
It does disapate pretty quickly though once the food is eaten and left overs put away... if not open windows and push the govener - LOL!

Some professional drivers want simple meals with only a few ingredients while others don't mind preparing more elaborate recipes.
On this Trucker Food and Recipes page, we'll provide:
- easy recipes and food choices on the road;
- recipes that require only a few ingredients; and
- where you can get loads of recipe ideas.

i also would be interested to know where this page is. -

I have been a rider with my fiance since day one. We do reefer/48 states and have been on the road for the last year.
We try to cook most of our meals on the truck to save money since truck stop eating can get expensive. We have a microwave, hotplate, crock-pot and toaster and of course a refrigerator. When I cook, I cook enough each time to last for at least several days.
How common is this in the trucking world and what methods do you use to cook.
What types of foods do you cook and do you have recipes to share?
Thank you -
Welcome Hope Rider. I moved this to another forum where it will get more views.
Alot of truckers are doing the same thing. I have so many recipes I don't know where to start. Lately I like stir fry's since they are easy to make and low in fat. -
Welcome to the board!
Congrats on the real food cooking. I am stuck at lunch meat for sandwiches and canned soups.
I think your options, being able to cook while still driving opens up lots of options. To crockpot something after parked for a 10 hour break would chew up too many of my sleep hours.
I know there is a thread or several with great cooking ideas. Someone will probably post the link before I get back with it.

I run local so I don't know jack about trying to cook in your sleeper but lately I've been trying to eat healthier in my truck so I found that salads are always good and easy enough to make and throw in tupperware, that is if your willing to stop and take a 15 minute lunch break to eat it.

Ok, so a single burner stove isn't a good idea in a truck to cook on.
Why do they have a 3 burner stove top in an RV?
Of a 5 burner stove in your house?
None of those are vented.
