It seems by your answer that 12v = major planning hoping to avoid the unexpected.

If the inverter can be used while the truck is moving there should not be a need for a 12v crockpot. Is that accurate to say?

Wow this is very helpful stuff. It would be interesting to see pictures of everyones setup in order to get an idea of where all this stuff (microwave, refrigerator, etc.) will fit in the typical truck sleeper. A friend of mine recently started buying a newer Volvo 780 and they have the room for a medium sized over under refrigerator/freezer and a microwave, but this stuff wouldn't fit in the Freightliner we are driving now. We may be switching to a KW T6 or Pete 387 soon, so I wonder if we will have the room for it then. Hmmm

I've got a Freightliner Classic. I took out the bottom cabinet (it isn't anything more than a shell anyhow) behind the driver's seat. The fridge is bolted to the floor and the microwave is bolted to the fridge (when I wreck, the truck will be totaled but there will be a fridge standing upright with the microwave on top :biggrin_25523:).

The inverter is mounted on the front of the bunk storage, beside the fridge.
