I was coming from 95 North. I had just passed the weigh station and took the first exit after the weigh station which leads to 222 AKA perryville rd. The GPS then told me to KEEP going all the way down to hwy7 AKA Philadelphia rd then make a left. Then after that left I got pulled over. Cop told me to keep going straight and keep left on the round turn on Coudon Blvd then make a right on 40 east. Looking at the GPS now, I actually could’ve made a left on 40 east from 222 AKA perryville rd. My phone GPS actually did tell me to turn left right there but I don’t listen to my phone GPS when in city limits. This is the one time I should’ve I guess smh.
Cop gave me a warning, do I have to report it to my company?

did you pass the low clearance bridge?
-

No, I didn’t see any low clearance bridge. If you look at where hwy 7 AKA Philadelphia rd turns into Coudon BLVD, the GPS was actually telling me to make a right there on principio furnace rd. But I got pulled over before that. I actually got pulled over right next to a business with a bunch of trailers right at the cross section of IKEA rd and Philadelphia rd. GPS doesn’t show a business name but it’s right across from ‘Community Fire company of Perryville’. Apparently those trucks get there from taking 40 east to Coudon Blvd. What’s funny is, when I was getting ready to leave after receiving the warning, a bobtail tractor drove past us going the same way I was going. He didn’t make a right though, he kept left like the officer told me. I guess the officer stopped me before I even looked like I was going to make a right. He somehow knew I would apparently.

I HIGHLY advise ALL OTR truckers to have at least a year-old trucker's atlas handy. I always bought one every 24 months. Even after looking through one you still have questions call and speak to your company's safety dept. Every carrier I ever drove for had bridge law and kingpin distance laws inserted in our permit and insurance books. You green divers are not expected to know each and every situation out there that may cause trouble. That is why you should ask. Another good place to ask is while fueling. I have had drivers ask me about a route etc while I was fueling. If all else fails call that state's DOT or state police and see if they know. From where I stand I can see no legit excuse to have a CMV in an area it is NOT supposed to be in-----

Buy them at the end of the year at a truckstop, never on Amazon.
