corona virus...this is no joke!

Read history before you make fun brother. The issue with this virus and situation is we just don’t know. Most viruses that created pandemics throughout world history didn’t start out killing everyone. They change the mutated and people’s behaviors changed. There’s already been a secret recording of a senator who described this as, “the most aggressive and contagious virus the world has ever seen, God help us if it mutates into something more deadly.” what did he do after he made that statement? Went out and told everyone that everything would be just fine. You’re right, they do know something they’re not telling us.
I don’t know if this is the big one, nobody does yet, but it’s a possibility. The big one will eventually come. And we know for sure that we’re going to be dealing with this virus for many years to come. It’s not going away.

 

How do you know the difference between covid-19 and the flu?

 

Yeah saying it's just the flu. Is like saying the Spanish Flu was just the flu. While I'm not saying they are the same. But history shows that round 1 wasn't as bad as round 2. Also shows if you don't try to flatten the infection rate how bad things can get. Philadelphia had a parade and didn't socially isolate. St Louis did. Philadelphia had double the fatalities vs St Louis. So being smart can save lives.

 

Just heard this morning that this virus is not mutating. This will help shorten the time for a vaccine to be figured out.

 

They are going to give people four months salary who lost their job.
Why am I still out here putting myself at risk?

 

Because you have to be laid off, you just can’t quit

 

I was one of those in the beginning saying it's media hype and government over reaction. We have approximately 70 personnel in our terminal. Mostly drivers.
It started Monday. As of this morning we have 1 driver in ICU and 4 other people quarantined with symptoms. It's real.

 

Like usual, the hardworking folks who step up to the plate and make #### happen get screwed again.

 

What's weird about this little insidious beast is that for some, a real mild sickness, while for others (minority) a death sentence.

Lock down the epicenter's (NYC, etc) and let the rest of the country go back to work, before there's no work to go back too....
