corona virus...this is no joke!

There is an advantage to coming down with a virus that has been around for hundreds of years, if not a couple of thousand. Humans, ideally, will have built up more natural defenses to fight it.

Influenza and Coronavirus come from different virus families, and COVID-19 is brand new.
there is no cross-immunity with this coronavirus as there are with the other .

In other words, the natural defense systems in our body that help us ward off flu are unlikely to apply here.

 

Google says Italy has a population of 60.48 million. Corona cases number 4032 deaths( that update is 6hrs old). So we need a mathematics expert. Wouldn't that be like less than 1,000 of a % of the population?

Quite a low % unless your one of them..lol. But looking at the news one would think Italy's population has all died, or about to.

 

Thousands of years don't matter.
If we have a healthy immune system our body will either fight it off and become immune, or die.
Simple.
And that is the way it has been for all those thousands of years.

If it is passed on through the generations then our kids will be more immune to it in the future as well.
But trying to run away from it won't help us survive any longer than if we just let it run its course.

And you are mistaking a natural defense for an acquired defense.
We only acquire defenses against a virus by fighting it, else it would not affect us in the first place.

That is why using sanitizers at every opportunity is a bad idea.
We need to keep our immune system working against those little bugs, so that when these bigger bugs come calling they are more easily dealt with.

 

My middle daughter went out to Venice in January to meet a guy she met on the internet. A 3 month trip.
She just turned 18. So young and impetuous.
Now she is not sure when she might get back.
No one in their house has the virus, and she is really bored because everything is shut down.
They sneak out once in a while to go for a walk. She was having such a good time until this happened.
Caught right in the middle of history in the making, and something she will talk about to her grand kids I'm sure.
