And another 627 people died in northern Italy of Corona , very familiar with the area being my ex was from there and still lives just over the border in Lugano Switzerland now.
Bergamo was a small province we would visit regularly from Milan for lunch or dinner, a small town with lineages that go back centuries .
For me those figures hit home.

I definitely agree that we all need to do what we can to help contain the spread of coronavirus. I drive locally, and the mills I haul into are using gloves and avoiding contact with each other as much as possible. I am not going into truck stops except for fueling. I am 29 in good health, so it is unlikely that I would die, however, you have to think of others. If I get the virus and spread it on I could unknowingly be the cause of the death of someone else's parents or grandparents. It doesn't matter if they have a pre existing condition if its the coronavirus that kills them. They may have lived for years with the other condition.
For the record, there have been confirmed cases in the town I haul into, and in the county I live in. While I don't think we need to panic, we need to be careful. Think of others.sirjeff, Rideandrepair, Dino soar and 7 others Thank this. -

No shortage of ignorance in this Covid thread, same as the other Covid threads, with the same usual suspects.
Viruses can evolve and become highly resistant to treatment and more deadly or worrisome than what they start out as, probably quicker than your immune system can adapt.
I had a nasty nasty virus last fall during flu season that lasted for over a month, just prior to getting my flu shot which for some reason there was a shortage of at the time.
I came home from shopping in a crowded store, something I don't usually do, and by the time I got home I had a tickle into my throat that turned into painful coughing, a fever, difficulty breathing and every time I coughed it felt like my lungs were being ripped out and it was a good couple weeks before I started to feel some relief, started healing and sleeping more than a couple hours at a time when I would wake up and start coughing again.
This all came on over a period of 8 hours, it felt a lot like pneumonia which I've had 4 times, not a pleasant feeling.
This may be my last post, the ignorance and attitudes of truckers I've witnessed on this forum has become too much for me.
Up until now I've been sandbagging all the virus threads and kept my mouth shut, so rather than go off on a rant and get into a fight that accomplishes nothing and gets me barred, I would just quit this forum.
Help me make up my mind, should I stay or should I go.Rideandrepair, Just passing by, Otr294highway and 1 other person Thank this. -
