Speaking from personal experience, extended warranties are a waste of money. You're better off putting aside the cost of the warranty in a separate account and keep adding to it every week.

I see I'm late to the party but
    I have a 2016 Coronado dd15 13 SPD 3.42 rears double bunk condo 265 wheelbase

5- 5.4 mpg is the norm. Running flatbed midwest/western states. 68 mph most the time turns about 1375 rpms

Truck has 420,000 miles very reliable terrible mpg. Hope this helps future potential buyers

Wow must be running flatbed is the difference. Have a friend at my company with exact same truck. He consistently gets 7-7.5. But we haul light our payload is usually 8-12000lbs

Talked to a different dealer/salesman about the 2020 cascadia he preached how good mpg they get. I let him preach before I mentioned I have a 2016 that is terrible he didnt believe me, brought it in and the DDEC print out showed 5.4 for the life of it now at 460,xxx. He thought the dd15 had updated turbos since 16. I asked where was my turbo, LMAO! salesman couldn't find any updates. He said maybe it was cascadia's only..

This is funny. I don’t know how a truck salesman would know what kind of mileage a truck could or should get?

Most don’t even understand what options are available or how to even find out?

A sales man should no or at least have a good idea. Of what kind of performance to expect from the product he is selling. But maybe that's to old school?

Salesmen can’t be trusted with this info. They’ll tell you anything to sell you their product. That’s why buyers need to do their own research before heading to the dealer. Salesmen love the misinformed.

yeah right, they are dumber than rocks.

I had to tell one sales dweeb how much HP their engines produce because he could not answer the question for another customer in the next cube, I embarrassed the crap out of him and told my guy they need to fire him.

True enough! But a salesman should still be familiar with their product. At least enough to answer standard questions. In my line of work when a sales person is standing in front of a potential customer IN THIER HOME. They better be able to answer standard questions that 90% of all customers ask. Quess that's why I prefer dealing with older (50 and up) sales people. Except when I no exactly what I want, or I'm in a hurry.
