Searcy walmart has three stockers in the bleach and lysol walkway shelving new trying to keep up. About 12 feet or so of all shelves were bare. All three were bringing cases to unpack and stock.

 

The panic is on...I contracted to pick up a bottled water load this morning. Showed up and the plant is overrun with trucks picking up loads. NEVER seen it like this, even in the middle of summer.

Someone texted me that lives in WA. Said the store shelves are emptying of water, toilet paper, soap, hand sanitizer, etc.

 

3500 hundred Americans are trapped in a cruise ship off of the coast of California. The media isn’t preventing the ship from docking but the govt is. Stop blaming the media for your fear.

 

Here is an over reaction or maybe it's not:

Get routed home, park the truck and stay home where you have resources to survive and defend yourself. Is the money really worth it?

 

What plant and where please? We loaded at a few in the past in our time. Central maine comes to mind up on a hilltop.

 

Kinda like that whole turn of the millennium collapse back in January 2000. Omg that was just AWFUL! Every computer in the world crashed and had to be replaced.

Or not.

 

Those of us just laughed it up. Kept a box of sharp number two pencils and anote pad. When some yuk yuk was waxing yarns and tales of black death stalking post Y2K etc I would just pull a pencil and note book... That is how we carry on business. A touch slower.

Dowdy in Batesville was put out completely by a roaring ice storm one winter. One morning I found myself stranded in CA with no comms by satellite or phone. A little later that day they restored basic phone service at the dispatch building and shop. From there it was pencil and paper. Slowly improving as Dowdy brought in trailers with generators and fuel big enough to power his entire company independant of Power grid.

 

I will blame the media, I still do! The government almost all the time "reacts" to media reports. The media is still hyping this thing almost without mercy. Question? Without looking, do you know what the recovery rate is tonight? Or did you know there are reports that China's industry is going back to work? To date, there have been 83 people killed/murdered in Chicago! How many have died from this here in the US? How many have died so far from the regular flu? Hint? Last time I looked the death count was 5 figures. The media is hyping the heck out of this.

I'm frustrated mostly because a good friend of mine is home without her husband. I am not at liberty to say who or where, but he is deployed to the middle east and the Navy is stopping him from returning to Norfolk!
