With any virus such as covid-19, the fact is that a certain segment of the population will never contract it regardless of their exposure. Immune to it, if you will. Presumably the people who can't get it are able to spread it however. And Americans collectively are known to be unhealthy. Many people are already near death in my view and it won't take much to push them into their graves. Meanwhile, everyone on both sides of my family dies of natural causes with a rare accidental death here or there. I'll bet you a thousand dollars I'm immune to covid-19.

There's already some theory that certain blood types have more immunity than others.

Asian society has a certain facination with blood types equivalent to our Astrology. Not really serious, but maybe "you want to know what blood type your blind date is kinda thing."

Well they've supposedly noticed some immunity variations via blood type. I don't know if anyone is more seriously pursuing that angle though, I'll leave it for the experts.

About this time, with 100s of police officers testing positive, criminals running free in the streets due to lax enforcement, and almost no food on the shelves, 1000s of New Yawkers begin to ponder the consequences of giving away some of their gun rights.

Some of them probably wish they had more than a 500sq foot apartment to hoard their TP in as well.

Fox News hosts eye shutdown end as Trump says 'cure' can't be worse than 'problem' - CNN

"New York (CNN Business)A version of this article first appeared in the "Reliable Sources" newsletter.

President Trump and some of the biggest voices on Fox News started to aggressively push the same message on Monday: That the strict measures currently in place to halt the spread of the coronavirus cannot last indefinitely and should, perhaps, be eased after the 15-day shutdown period. "We can't let the cure be worse than the problem," Trump said at the daily briefing, repeatedly hammering home that same message.
At the briefing, Trump said he didn't want a medical problem to become an economic problem, seemingly disregarding the fact that the two are closely linked. The President added that decisions on how to tackle the pandemic should not solely be left to medical professionals. "If it were up to the doctors, they may say, 'Let's shut down the entire world,'" Trump said, adding, "You know, we can't do that." - First part of article, rest is at link

I didn't post this to bash Trump or others to. I posted it because I found it interesting.

Stay safe no matter your political party. ;)

well the facts are they are gonna "look at" whether it needs to be extended or not after the 15 day time frame. It is a fine line to balance and walk. Do you risk a complete economical collapse or a medical disaster. I'd hate to be anyone's shoes that has to make that kind of choice. Plus yeah CNN is gonna make it look like they did. It caters to their audience. But don't get me wrong. I don't want Trump to open things back up sooner than they need to be either.

For the record, I am in favor of all reasonable steps being taken in order to contain and mitigate the outbreak. Key work being "reasonable." In my opinion, cordoning off the coffee station at Love's is not going to amount to a hill of beans with respect to halting the spread of this virus.
