Cost of dpf repair

Yup sounds in the ball park. My Detroit DD16 DPF total bill $3,300.

Looks typical to me. Doser Bolts break off in the decomp pipe all the time, especially with age. Battery service. Most of your cost was the decomp pipe, all stainless and around 800. Be nice if the invoice showed parts breakdown?

 

Wait till you need an actual dpf repair.

Then you can complain.

 

What's a 10 pound sledge hammer cost these days? I could never put up with that baloney.

 

I never accept estimates or Bill's written like this. There is a line item and charge for each individual part. Labor has a per hour rate.

I make them break it down. None of that total parts, total labor bs.
