Depends who the citation is written out to. MD for example puts the driver’s name on it.

Every one I've ever gotten was written to me. And I've gotten more than my fair share of them.

I’ve been told some states put the company on them.

I’ve never been popped out of state though.

I've been told a lot of things that aren't necessarily true.
I think it comes down to officer discretion, like many things. I can see an officer thinking a van reefer or flatbed guy should know how to load his wagon. But take something like trash in a walking floor where the weight from one bucket to another can vary so much, id bet more of those tickets get written to the company.

I had a similar axle weight ticket to yours a couple of years ago in Missouri. $121 Can't help you on the paperwork.

Note. Not feeling well. Took a fall tonight. @spyder7723 I got to know though. How does a trucker loaf his wagon? All kidding aside I know what you were saying. I'm just being a arse. I needed a laugh.

    spyder7723 Thanks this.

To fill you guys in, the registration took me less than 30 seconds to find, no mountains of paperwork. Im very organized i even carry a binder. I was just in shock and on looking at my registration it appeared expired. Im like no way i just got this so i double check to make sure i didnt place the registration in another spot.
They also wanted trailer registration and in the moment of shock im trying to figure out where to get it, oh duh finally after returning without it realized its in the trailer compartment. After getting trailer registration they inform me that the truck registration the only one i could easily find was not expired. Big relief.
The scale was cash only. I didnt have any. The next scale i found was at my fuel stop over 45 miles away. By then it slipped my mind to scale. Too busy trying to get as far as i could. Foolish mistake lesson learned.

I recieved my truck with a number of dot violations. Two i didnt know realize were violations. I picked my company truck up out of tow with a broken bumper that i had to keep bothering them to fix and drives with 3 to 4/32nds tread.
