322 is all I run going east, I refuse to pay to run that crappy road, I come from pittsburgh up 28N to 422E to 22E to 99N to 322E then if I'm in a pinch for time once im in harrisburg ill put it on the pike, but usually even then I try to avoid the toll road.

I ran 322 both ways to get to Harrisburg to spend a day with family before going into NYC,the snow was light to non existent.
I have had problems on 30 west of Mansfield,OH, must be the weather patterns around there but it was as bad as Cleveland for just as far. Visibility was worse but traffic is lighter, which is the main reason for running 322 in Pa.
We had a guy that used to run to Napoleon from the west on US6 and get up to the Ohio Turnpike from there. I think he was just hitting the worst part of the Turnpike.
Maybe it wouldn't be as bad with the Cascadia. Winter driving is just not that much fun, anymore.DirtyBob Thanks this. -
I figured it didn't get that bad up there most of the time, I just didn't want to find out myself if it did lol. The last couple times, I've been running 76 and take 70 to Indy so I could do an interview and road test which was my main motivation for not running up north. Should find out in the next couple of weeks if I got it.
25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
It could get that bad but I listened to the weather band and checked on it before heading out.
Should have gone to Lodi, though instead of Cleveland. I went through in the wee hours and that was bad enough, I can understand why they have had so many accidents.
Almost as bad as Detroit with a Northeast wind in the winter, lots of wrecks anytime there, for some reason. -
