Look at this picture, took it just now... makes no sense to me

 

They're not lying, it is condensation. Coolant or water gets in the hot oil, condensates, steam rises, and collects on the fill plug, and under the valve cover, as you see it, a snotty mess.

That is coolant or water, sorry. It's nothing else. Nothing else will cause the snotty oil/water mix.

Who is changing your oil? Bulk drum? Stick your finger up the blow by tube and see what you get

 

It makes sense what you are saying. I buy my own oil 15w40 Rottela 1gal bottles, blow by tube is clean for now just the usual couple of oil drops i get on the ground

 

Make sure you see the results of this oil sample yourself, then call the testing company to explain to you the results.

I may be wrong, but it sounds to me like your mechanics are being dishonest.

 

They are not the ones that did the overhaul. The mechanic that did overhauls in their shop had health issues and was out for 4months so I Went with different shop and made a mistake, they overcharged me and didn't do a great job but that’s a different story. I used Blackstone laboratories, they give lengthy explanation on results, had a test sent out last October and couple of years ago

Just got mine done by RDM in Wytheville VA. Stand up guys. Total price was around $18200. Had diesel in coolant so we did head, pai in frame kit, new oil pump, hoses, radiator cleaned out, ect, ect. Did rods n mains 2 years ago, so we didn’t do those, or injectors, or bull gear which was done 2 years ago as well.
He charged 40 hours at $125 per hour. Cut 1 counterbore and used shims. I’m very happy.

 

Oil is still clean, as the temperatures went above freezing that yellow/green stuff went away
