My brother-in-law had it done a few years ago and he is wearing glasses again, had 1 of the top clinics advise and do the procedure, too.

I waited too long, not going to happen anymore

I had a similar problem with mine...I can see fine at night, but any kind of sign that is backlit (led billboard or signage), and not lit up by spotlights are hard for me to read.

Not sure if there really is a difference. I had a two month hospital stay and then a few months out of work for recoup time and even though it was medical leave I still had to get hired back on and go through orientation. Not only that but they cancelled my insurance because I was gone longer than three months.

Why don't you try combining a long weekend with a weeks paid vacation, that should be long enough shouldn't it? Either that or just back to work on light duty for awhile until you can see fully again and can drive. Just do some office work or something around your companies home terminal where you don't have to be driving but can still be employed.

I had lasik done in 1999 (same as Noggin - done on Fri, back to work on Mon). I'm in my 40's now and my daytime vision is still really good but I've acquired an increasingly nasty halo (aka starburst) effect around things lit or reflecting light at night like road signs & headlights. Doesn't really impact my driving but it put an end to my softball career. Trying to focus on a fly ball in the night sky while running was like looking into a kaleidoscope the way the light reflected it off it.

Despite that, it was the best money I ever spent.
