I went to renew my license this morning and was told they cant do anything until i clear an issue from Arizona Transportation Department. I do owe Swift for schooling over 3 years ago. But I also had a full inspection done on me 2 years back, in Arizona, and the trailer insurance was out of date. I was told to have my employer mail back proof and maybe they didnt, so maybe that's all it is. Fingers crossed. They are not open until Monday so I would like to know if I need to start looking for a normal civilian type job *shudders*
Could owing Swift money be cause for not being able to renew license?

Anybody who believes that a 'trucking outfit' can suspend yer GOVERNMENT issued drivers license is the kinda guy that would go there to get hired on in the first place...
-
No company can suspend ur cdl they got no control. Don't ever count on companys to pay ur fines or send paper work in. Do it urself...
-
^Lol
This is a possibility though. I owe them a couple grand. By the way, it's not suspended. It's just not renewable until I get whatever is preventing me to be able to. -
Probably the citation wasn't paid and it went back on you. Just hope it doesn't cost you too much trouble, time and/or money.

most likely they didnt fill out/send in the form

OK, so you have a Mi. CDL currently ? And live in Mi.? And was thru Az. and got an inspection awhile back ? And needed to send in something to satisfy Az. ? Sounds like whatever it was never got there and they have some kind of "hold" against your CDL. (until the matter is resolved)
