Good to know. Truck hasn’t moved. Had me wondering what could have happened.austinmike Thanks this.

I used to use alot of that fuel treatment stuff. Like a whole bottle in each tank. Had gelled fuel one morning. Some jacksss had unplugged my hot block heater and plugged in a dead one.

Ten below zero. So much fun. -
On some it can be faulty low coolant sensor,,if you unplug that sensor it will not shut down…found this with Cummins X15
Speedy356 Thanks this. -
I was blue to get over to truck today. I poured some diesel 911 in in case I had a gel situation. Then I looked at the coolant reservoir and this was it. It is rather low. Could this be a cause?

That's not low.
-
It was actually…a whole gallon low. I filled it and no more lights on the dash. It’s all odd because it wasn’t low when I parked it in Oct

cold weather brings out leaks. usually small ones. metal expands or contracts with temperature change. fluid as well
-
also you really should pull the hood open everyday and check fluids. But especially if the truck has been sitting for a long time check your fluids. never know what could happen. oil pan could be empty for various reasons
-
That actully happened to my ram once. Rodent had chewed a some wires that had fallen and shorted against the pan and melted a small hole in it while it was sitting. Lucky it didnt catch fire. But a vehicle sitting for even a few weeks can have issues.lester Thanks this.
