Hey dudes, I'm thinking of going back OTR. I've dabbled in a few different driving gigs over the years but have never touched a flatbed and am really interested in it. I'm curious about TMC mainly because it seems like they have plenty of freight to keep drivers running .... and also let's not forget their chromed out rigs! Thanks in advance for any answers you can help me with!
What is their home time policy for drivers who are not interested in being home weekly and want to stay out months at a time?
Is their a cap to your home time allowance?
Do they allow you to take home time at a different address than your actual home?
What are the trucks governed at?
Do they worry about the Miles Per Gallons of their drivers and rigs?
Do they have driver facing cameras?
I've heard they require you to give your truck a shower once a week?
Does their quallcomm alert on overspeed (like if you roll down a hill faster than your governer)?
Do they have opportunities as a company driver for oversized loads?
Couple general questions about TMC

If you run the will get you home for a weekend. They typically do not like guys being off mon-fri unless there is a specific reason, but this will also depend on your fleet manager . But typically 5 days out 2 days in roughly.
Is their a cap to your home time allowance?
Answered In last. We do not earn days off for weeks out. You will be off weekends if you want to be
Do they allow you to take home time at a different address than your actual home?
As long as it's safe and legal to park.
What are the trucks governed at?
62mph
Do they worry about the Miles Per Gallons of their drivers and rigs?
Not to much. We are paid % based on performance so if you use more fuel you will get less % , the better mpg the better % you earn. They typically don't make a big deal about mpg
Do they have driver facing cameras?
Some trucks, but you can have it turned off for being a good boy !
I've heard they require you to give your truck a shower once a week?
Yes , we have contracts with truck washed allover the country. Just stop bye and have it washed. They will pay for 1wash a week, and require you to go no longer then 2 weeks between washes
Does their quallcomm alert on overspeed (like if you roll down a hill faster than your governer)?
No, unless you go over 80mph , in that case it's a critical event.
Do they have opportunities as a company driver for oversized loads?
Yes, we haul a lot of wide plate steel
Like I said , hope this helps, if you have another questions go ahead and let me know!Woodys Thanks this.
