There are so many good driving jobs with better pay and benefits. I get three weeks vacation in the first year, overtime after 8, company matched 401K, and 8 paid holidays. Once I had experience, I wouldn't work for a company with poor compensation.

My company has drive cams. It's not an issue for me. As a good driver, the camera will help protect me as long as I'm doing my job. The ones that have issues with them are the ones that can't follow policy, or are constantly breaking the law.

oh yeah, routes leave all the time. MOST leave in the early morning hours (3am to 6am), but some leave pretty much all the time, depends on when and where the first delivery is.

also, our terminal especially, does a lot of team routes (one guy drives, other guy sleeps), so if you like nights, i'm sure there are plenty of team routes.

I think most of the National Foodservice companies have drivecams in their trucks. If you're ashamed of your driving your employer probably is too.
We get about $22 an hour (going to $25 by the end of the contract ). I make over 60k a year working less than 50 hours a week. We do get overtime but most of us only get 45-48 hours a week. Been at this 3 years and have had one 70 hour check.
Another outfit in the area that's affiliated with us pays $1k a week salary and then $20 an hour beyond 40 hours.
