Couple of questions I hope someone can answer.
1. I have a surgical scar down the middle of my chest from a sugery I had when I was about 11 or 12. I had a bone that was growing out so they opened me up, cut the bone so my chest would look normal. Anyway, the scar makes people think that I had heart surgery when really it was surgery to repaid a bone growth. Would the doctor giving the physical want proof of that or would he take my word for it. It was so long ago (I'm now 43).
2. I have some moles on my back, some of which are dark and others look different. Would I be required to have them checked by a dermatologist? I'm just trying to make sure i will have any type of medical letters from doctors if need be.
3. I have 3 lumps on the back of my tongue but the dentist told me they are normal in some people, no cancer and no problems. I will bring a letter from my dentist confirming this when I go to school for my CDL.
So, does anyone think that any of the above will require confirmation letters from doctors or should I not worry about the physical at the school since my BP is very good, no heart problems, no medications, and no high coloesterol or drugs. What say you?

The only one you might have to worry about is the first one. As long as you can prove it was in fact to remove a bone, and not a heart surgery, I think you will be alright.
Ive never had the doctor look at my back or check my skin in any way at a DOT physical. Sometimes you dont even have to take your shirt off. -
I had lung surgery at age 19, big scar right side. Doctors always say what happened. I explain, and it's never a problem. Never needed any documentation etc.

They usually check to make sure you are breathing and that's pretty much the extent of it. Oh yeah, they may throw in a knee knock or two. Most of the physicals are simple. Some companies do extensive ones but even those most likely won't be concerned with you.

Wear a Tshirt and they won't even see anything. I never had to remove my shirt and I had a bunch of physicals.
They won't even check the bottom of your tongue.
The long form you fill out will ask if you had any surgeries. Just be honest.
Nothing you have is disqualifying. But don't disclose more than you have to if the form don't ask.
If you ever had a wreck and got sued, the lawyers would dig every bit of info they can about you. So be honest and they have nothing to dig.
