The fun may corrode a little bit when big dispatcher and bosses are worried it is 10 minutes late... from the east coast to the west coast direct.
Most people cannot keep a doctors appt across town without 8 minutes late. And we're doing it precision service straight through. -
I understand, pleasure and work are different stories. I enjoy being valuable to my employer but putting in the work to make it happen. I’ll do my best at this new adventure and hope to come out of the other side successful!

Valuable is not existing in Trucking. Discard that thinking.
You are replaceable at any time any day. Make sure whatever you do carry a sufficient sum that you can use to get home from anywhere in the USA and Canada by any mode of transport at any time. -
Im just curious OP, what sound do the whistles make?
BubbRubb Thanks this. -
Heard gossip that they got out from under doing Prime loads.
I just rationalize they're doing better pay loads.
Interesting to hear they decided to make Missoula the headquarters? Nice place.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Years ago there was a truck stop in Missoula with a nude strip joint. Wonder if it's still there?WesternPlains Thanks this.

I really don't know?
I did a load through there. First time there in many years. Lived in Billings, then Bigfork for a year or so many years ago. Anyways...
I stopped at the truck stop on the east side of Missoula. Got out. Looked up at that closest mountain. It said to me: "Welcome back....it's been a while." I felt so at home.
Then on the way back. Got layover a couple days. Went on a fly fishing float trip down the Bitterroot. Love that area. -

Forgive me for being optimistic, but maybe the right attitude isn’t just for those around you but for yourself. I’m not going in to trucking to be a pessimistic fatalist.
I want to be a value add to my company, not a salty driver who’s pissed at the world.
I will smile even when things are tough. I’ll be blessed in my endeavors because my of my attitude and work ethic.
I’m not naive to think that trucking companies can be unscrupulous and will prepare accordingly, but I won’t allow it to bring me down.
Maybe I burn out, sure, or maybe my plan to become a successful owner operator comes to fruition.
But maybe it’s the truckers who need an attitude adjustment. Because if you enter anything in life with a fatalistic attitude then you’re doomed to fail.Truckermania and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
