coupling semitrilers

    in driving school i had a solo with a trailer that had no supports so 2 axles.
    experienced drivers say it's the same thing and probably it is.

    do you adjust the height of the kingpin to fifth wheel with supports? :confused:

    I don't know what you're asking here. Talking about the landing gear on the trailer or?

    I think what your saying is; making the trailer be at the same height as the 5th wheel. I like to have the trailer a bit lower than the 5th wheel so that I can feel the truck go under the trailer. You never want the trailer to be too high. You could have the kingpin sit above the locking jaws, or worse, go over the 5th wheel all together. I hope that answers your question.
