After reading tons of threads about covenant. After being unemployed for 159 days of looking for the best trucking company to work for. I have only one offer. As of now. Base on the fact of economy and the state I live in(Florida panhandle). There is not a lot to choose from.I might not have been looking in the right place, or just wrong timeing. But with holidays here. unemployment sucks. I'm going to covenant transport. 12/07/09 starting the training of 30 days then 30 days teaming.Yea.right. I'm going to try 1 year. But after 6 months I'll start to see what companies are willing to hire me. So all you trucker, Let me have it. Let me know what you think about it. Thanks for your time.

    HeckIGot2Go! Thanks this.

    Good Luck Brother,
I know things are tough down here for us floridians. Hang tough, stick it out, and see if you can't stay teaming. Team sux, but at least you'll get some miles. I left orientation there in 2002, bob-tailed home, I saw enough to change my mind. Not many choices now, you do what ya gotta do. Later

She runs solo on a WalMart dedicated account. She went through all the steps. She went with trainers, ran team, and then went solo. She was a new driver with very few options. I met her through this Forum. We talk when we are both out on the road. She is a very independant person and that has helped her.
You can make it also. The pay is bad when you start. It will not be easy. If you can make it through the training and the manditory teaming it gets a lot better.

Pushed their religion on me, a little too much.....Physical lasted-no joke - 2 minutes, checked nothing. Truck inspection-bigger joke !! Just my opinion, and that was 7 years ago. They are mostly a team company. 1951 chevy is a good looking truck. !! Later
