So here's a wierd one. Seattle media is reporting an over turned container, with live cows inside. Huh?

Looks like they were shipped and then picked up from the port
Shaggy Thanks this. -
Thats strange. I think they must have the type of trailer wrong. Container to me as most indicates closed box. I've never heard of livestock being shipped live on a ship in a container like that for that length of time. Anyone else heard of this?

Just what we need more Mad Cows

First I've herd of it also. Weird things are in containers way above my pay grade -
There's cattle(or other animal) containers. They don't swim over.

High dollar ones get to fly instead of the slow boat.

Now is it common to use container of live stock from Port to local receiver in the USA?
Never dealt with Ports or Livestock.
Thought the FDA was tough on imports of cattle. Outta my lane 100% just askingDewey120 Thanks this. -
I have been to the ports in Seattle and Tacoma before and never saw a container like that before. Must have been on a flat bed since a regular container chassis has the two pineapple locking mechanisms on the rear and the two front slide bolts.
I didn't even know that the ports are open on a Saturday unless that driver picked up that load from a drayage yard. Even though the driver wasn't speeding sounds like he was going to fast for that load he was pulling.
