Get a heated air hose. ResMed has one and when you plug it in, you also get automatic humidity and temperature control. See if Phillips has the same option

You need to breathe through your nose. No amount of humidity will fix a dry mouth if you're mouth breathing all night. My doc roto rootered my nose. I didn't enjoy that, but I suppose it's better than being hooked on afrin.

The heated air hose makes a big difference. I asked about it when I got my CPAP they made it sound like it was only for more medical stuff. Like a normal person should not need one.
It makes a big difference because it warms the air that a CPAP makes cooler just from the pressure. Then it also stopped Rain Out. That's when you turning up the humidifier and the warm humidity Air goes thru a cold air hose. The water forms in the hose and you get dry cold air. Then you get dry nose, if you can even breath thru it, or you get dry mouth. I got mine from Amazon they are only $40. I was surprised how hot the tube gets. ResMed hose has a sensor at the end that hooks to mask. So it can respond to the changing room temperature and humidity
I can now breath thru my nose again. It probably been 20+ years I can't remember last time breathing thru nose417bigK Thanks this. -

Doctor suggested I use a mouth guard at night , not only because I grind my teeth but I also was opening my mouth at night breaking the flow of air and drying mouth. I did use it temporarily with mixed feelings about it.
