    Thanks. I can't remember the guys name but I believe he is on the 2:00 show regularly.

    Chain of custody makes sense. I had an in lab study. The HST is so much less expensive people need to know up front if it won't prove that they don't have it.

    The ones in denial already think the whole deal is a money grabbing scam. A cheaper test that can only prove that you have it only adds to that perception.

    trucker dad hit it on the head!......Here's a little more info...APAPs are trying to do what a sleep tech would do if they were watching you sleep...simply put; crank up the pressure when you stop breathing, until it's high enough to keep your airway open. The downside, and although rare...oxygen level drops that aren't corrected with positive airway pressure cannot be seen or fixed with an auto-titration.

    A few tips....

    You have to make sure your getting the right fit with the mask. Comfort = Compliance! Double check your fitting procedure against a YouTube video of the mask fitting.
    Keep your equipment clean.
    Get your questions answered! It's not a scam...

    The Nox and Apnealink will find some central apneas......but the APAP won't treat them. If the central apneas are high on your report >5 per hour, you'll need an in lab titration study.
