I'm on my laptop, and my settlements are on my home computer. I'll post a few in the next couple of days.
CRE as a company driver isn't bad, but you HAVE TO team...so that sucks.

I'm a lease operator and trainer for Cr England
i had 6.42 paid miles per gallon this week with a 7.05 avg for the month
maintenance is figured at .07 cents per mile
my variable millage payment is .08 cents per mile
my truck payment is $ 508.00
my truck insurance is $ 234.33
I pay half of the student pay of $ 261.52 for having a student on my truck and England pays the other half
my year to date avg weekly miles is 4391
my year to date avg week income is $ 1322.00
my total income so far is $ 43625.00
my total gross revenue avg per week is $ 4039.00
my total gross revenue for the year is $ 133282.00
my settlement for this week is as follows
11-24-2009
total miles 4225
total revenue $ 3981.80 (paid miles)
total variable cost - $ 1527.95 (fuel,maintenance,variable millage,transaction fees)
total fixed cost - $ 1003.85 (truck payment, truck insurance, student pay
income = $ 1450.00

And you have an .08 cent variable mileage, not .14....HUGE difference.
Also, does your mileage pay account for the .10 drop in deadhead mileage pay?
I guess $1450 isn't bad for TWO people's pay....(725 each, if you're teaming, husband and wife, etc)....the student pay would be directly offset by what CRE charges for worker's comp for your teammate (non-trainee).
Of course, I rarely managed to get over 4100 miles as a team.... -
also my first lease ended mar 15th i took 3 weeks vacation and flew back to slc APR 1st. so i did have the .14 cent variable millage payment on my last truck. Jan, feb, mar
also when you team with a family member (like my brother and me) we both signed the lease so we did not pay workers comp.
the .10 cent drop in deadhead miles is hard to calculate so far. i don't do a whole lot of deadhead miles.
I was just answering a question about a "grand week at a major carrier"
so I just wanted to show that you can make money if you run it as a business.
bottom line is I don't refuse any loads ( might tell my dm load sucks or that the planners left me in a ditch on this one) but it almost always works out at the end of the week.
I don't run out of rout miles, or stop for a few hours cas somebody has family Weaver. I tell them when they get their own truck they can visit anybuddy they want on their time, but this is training and my time.
I also don't request a load anywhere but the house, i go Where they send me. like when it's time for the students to upgrade, whatever terminal were close to is where they upgrade. now they might want to go back to whateaver England school they went to and i tell them that's their right but i cant guarantee when I'll be able to get threw there. but that they are more than welcome to stay on till we do if thats what they want, but most want to just get threw training cas they know phase 2 is 60 days. -
Wow for a guy that's been driving for a year, you sure crack the whip! Our trainers have at least 6 years OTR B4 they can train...And, we don't have trainers and students driving as a team...that's just nuts, and very deadly.
-
i know it's petty but... I've been driving since 2007 my brother and I team drove for almost a year before we became phase 1 trainers.
at cr england they only require you to have 6 months exp, no major log violations, no preventable accidents, and your dm approval.
as far as team driving and training goes....I try to keep my miles between 4100 and 5ooo a week any less than 4100 it's not worth it for me to be away from my family and any more than 5000 it's a strain on me.
and as far as cracking the whip goes ummm well some people come in to this job thinking there on vacation. I just let them know they can run however they want when they get their own truck but while their with me it's all about training.
remember some people are quick learners don't judge them based on exp.
cas I'll tell you I drive better than some veteran drivers out there. I'm far from perfect and I learn something new everyday. and I'm dang sure I'm no super trucker either. I'm a safe driver and I promote safety to my students, I let them know real quick I have family out here on the roads. -

My guess, since it says income 1,450.00.
He shows the gross minus expenses.
