Donny & Marie can sit around a toasty Salt Lake City fireplace in the dead of winter, do a wonderful, heartfelt commercial for them and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir can sing their praises in an official CRE commercial jingle, but I sure as h-ll aint gonna turn a key for CRE, there are a zillion companies hiring out of Texas that I'll drive for before I drive for these criminals. The amazing thing is the fact that CRE wants to do a background check on me as part of their pre-hire, but what they don't know is that I've been doing a background check on them!

I was half expecting him to claim that Jesus Christ is his co-driver. Good Lord anyone who can read should not be that excited about the trucking industry.
-
But, compared to some truckin' companies way with words, mine are gibberish. Those folks could sell pornography to a nun.
Thank yew, too.
I'm all ablush here.
By golly, I don't know what would.
However, I like your counter-commercial with the catchy slogan --- easy to remember and sticks in the memory.
DON'T TURN A KEY FOR C.R.E.
But there in the beginning ol' Cowboy had us worried. But amazingly, he managed to pull it off. Got in, got a taste, and got the hail outta thar with no serious damage.
Do y'all believe in miracles now?
He would never make a claim like that. If Jesus and he were a team, he'd give Him first seat status. Only a fool would put them self above the Lord.
How sad they must be to miss the reason to be excited.

(I have nothing against redheads btw, just the ebbillll one I dated back in the 90s.)
I was dating one for 7 years in the 90s and she wanted the huge home, nice clothes, and the lavish lifestyle. She looked good, but my-LORD-above, she had the claws that came out.
(Irish, Scottish, and English, Blue eyes, fair skin with freckles.)
I made the mistake of sneaking behind her when she was making a sandwich. I POKED her hard on each side of her ribs at her sides, she spun around, grabbed a saucepan and slapped me upside the skull, knocking me out FLAT. 45 minutes later she asked as I revived, if I learned my lesson.
Needless to say I learned my lesson and dumped her. Last I heard, she..... well, nevermind, I won't talk bad about anyone, especially my ex gf.
Im now Happily married to a southern belle blonde with a 6 year old lil girl. -
All anyone has to do to verify if it's a good company (driver treatment and pay-wise), is to look at the armed security guards, bulletproof glass, metal detectors, etc at EVERY administrative entry point... protecting the recruiters, dispatchers, log people, training, etc...
Now I know that some drivers are aggressive and out of hand, or have hot tempers, etc - but why would you need 24/7 armed security on-premises if you weren't motivating people to do some crazy stuff when they're really mad?
I was there, was in shock when I saw all of that - then, after 6 months, 109,000 miles, and my wife and I netting 16 cpm and losing our ENTIRE $5,800 maintenance account to the shop for reconditioning a truck that I washed and waxed and babied...I see why they need armed guards. -
My Grandmother and Grandfather were Marine Drill Instructors in WW2.
othing but respect to ANYONE that served to protect the rest of us.
Thank you from my wife, daughter, and myself that you served.
God Bless a Hero...

I never worked at England or been to one of their terminals. I've only passed their West Valley City, UT facility en route to my company's terminal right down the street. I'm going to guess that there were alot of pissed off prior England drivers that led to the implementation of extra security measures (just like many corporate offices). Most may not agree, but I've always imagined that honest truck companies never needed extra security. Maybe a gate guard and someone to patrol the property, but bulletproof glass? If I were to just get my CDL yesterday and talked to current and prior England drivers I would be very cautious before even considering filling out a pre-hire application.
Research is everything.
