My understanding is that England trainers make decent money. But they are the only people at England that make money.

At Swift they keep earning money for 6 months after the student goes solo.
That may be a problem, because too many of them do it just for the money aspect.LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
I don't need to have a passion for teaching to do a top-notch job, if I'm receiving top-notch pay.
Hell, for a number of years there, I don't really even know that I had much of a passion for driving. It just paid extremely well, so I did it well.
Fortunately, my current company has kindled some passion in me, so that works. At least it's not such an empty endeavor anymore. -
I've at truckstops where drivers were pissed about a $300 dollar paycheck after 2 weeks on the road.
35-45 cpm.....who can live on that? You can even watch YouTube videos about the complaints.....good luck to youLtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
I was fortunate because I got on with a union company Roadway Express and stayed with them doing local P& D until I bought my own rig and hit the the road across country.
The stories I've hear where they fire drivers for unpreventable incidents is crazy.
I would also avoid any company that offers these $5000 sign on bonuses. Just a scam to get you in the door in my opinion.
Its hard to find a decent fit. You may have to experience a few companies to find out what you are truly looking for and that fits what you need in the endLtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
But I have taken broker loads from Steven's transport as an owner operator and they seem to be chill though i don't know much about actually working for themTruckermania and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -

We get paid weekly so...
I started at .25 and now at .58.
And I have given open and honest reviews of Swift over these 10 years.
Look back on my posts to see what I say.
Good luck to me?
Why?!
Too many of those people complaining about Swift would do the same thing with any other company.
Bad drivers will not do well anywhere they go.Smut, Truckermania and Blue Zombie Trucker Thank this. -
I got my CDL at a Swift CDL school, and drove for them for 8 months, OTR. I left because I thought they were treating me poorly.
Now, I know that they were a trucking company, and I was a driver, that's all. I am amazed that you can find good and bad reviews of just about any company out there. It's starting to seem like a very bad idea to even read reviews.
