Cr England R crooks, stay away, they will rip u off every way they can. i have been driving for 27 yrs and i have worked for some pretty shady companys but cr england is definitely the worst. i went there for orientation to become a company driver, i had been off the road for several yrs and they were the only company that would hire me without recent experience. After a week of orientation (i was not getting paid for) i was told they did not have any company trucks available i was talked into leasing. BAD, BAD, BAD Idea. I was just disqualified from driving with them a couple days ago cuz i pissed off my dm any ideas how i can keep this truck and make some money??:biggrin_25510:

You mean, keep the truck that you leased from CR? Only if you steal it.

    Beechvtail Thanks this.

Park it at the Cross Bronx Expressway. Someone will steal it or burn it to the ground.

You cant keep it, they are gauranteed that you will only pay them for them to resell it. Glad I didnt try their crap on lease program. No one can own a England truck with the emblem on it. It stinks but oh well. Not going to beat a dead cat, once its dead, you cant kill it anymore. (loves our cat and doesnt abuse it, REALLY)

No way you are going to keep it unless you buy it. Now depending on how shady you are willing to get you may get out of lease or sell it to insurance co. Not recommending that of course. Sorry to hear another person getting hosed by these maggots.

had a nephew that worked for them, he was trained by his older brother, after 3 weeks training, was givin a truck to run as an IC, with a trainee on board. trainee went out , got drunk in middle of night, got up in am and drove truck to reciever. cr england made nephew and student take breatherlizer test, student failed, nephew was good. cr england fired nephew because student was drunk while driving. nephew still has older brother running for cr.

Really, no really. Stay away from CRE and Fleece deals in general. Way to risky!

If Horizon will let you, as the lease is actually through Horizon and not CR England (and it should be in the lease contract, and should have been plainly stated in your lease orientation) you can take the truck to another company to lease on to as long as Horizon approves of it.

As for leasing, you can't make it on their lease as a solo driver. Not with the truck payments, insurance, plates, fuel, and misc other charges that come out. And you darn sure don't want to take a phase 2 student, as I have heard that over half of them still can't drive worth a toot after they are upgraded from phase 1. The only way you can make it on the lease is to run team with another experienced driver. Hubby and I are running team in a lease truck and doing well. Now don't get me wrong, we have had a couple of "bad" weeks, freight slow around Xmas and two days spent waiting in Laredo another time for paperwork on a grocery load to clear customs and FDA. There are good and bad weeks for everyone, even highly successful O/O's.

I will say that since we started for them in Sept 2009 we have had settlements that range from $750 to $1700 after everything comes out. We have had a couple that were around $500 and two that were lower, again because of various issues that prevented us from going anywhere. Our DM is awsome, after he learned how we run, he has done his darndest to keep us MOVING. We average 5000 miles a week, some weeks less some weeks we hit 6000. But running team is the key.

An insurance job wouldn't work either ...

You pay the premiums, but any payout would go to them - accident or not.

    What a racket ... :biggrin_25513:
