Cr england should be shutting it's schools

Wannabes don't want to hear about needing common sense but they can't figure why despite running hundreds of people through orientation last year some carriers still had the same number of drivers at the end of the year as they had at the beginning .

 

I have yet to see an England driver that I would allow anywhere near my truck!

Whether its accurate information or not, we were told that since the economy is in the current state that it is in and demand is a little down, they (England) feel they have the right to be a little nit-picky on the drivers they hire. Almost everyone is welcome to try but if they dont make the cut, you're out.

I agree, you pay for a service, you should get what you pay for. If you get a trainer who you dont feel is providing you with the proper fundamentals, then hound the right people to get one that will.

Even though there is some truth to that last part you said, but I think it has a little more to do with the fact that these companies know that there is more people than you think that will accept these lower wages. Think about it, if enough people got together and said they wont drive for any given company, then that company will either have to pony up the dough or close its' doors if they have no one to haul their frieght. But, theres always someone that will be willing to work for less money than the previous person.

Wow, I didnt know England was the only company that hired drivers who didnt know whether to scratch their watch or wind their ###.....

 

One, as a consumer, anyone should do a little research before they put down money or agree to a loan.
if your brother in law had done even a minimal effort in research, just google CREngland, he would have found the many many many many complaints against CREngland, and perhaps would have made a better choice.

I do understand what you are thinking and saying, but, fact of life, there are scams out there. Like the many work at home scams, you know where you pay $1500 so you can begin to make $3000 or more a day in your pajamas doing nothing...

Your brother in law needs to stop playing victim and take responsibility for the choices he made and be grateful that he has an opportunity to learn and gain experience with you.

As far as CRengland and the others like them, why would they change when they still have hundreds of wannabies signing up. So, in away, your brother in law is also part of the problem.

I hope that why you are teaching you brother in law the ropes, how to lower and raise the landing gear, how to slide the tandems and fith wheel, how to fill out his log book and all that you also take the time to teach him better decision making skills, like doing a little reasearch, I think it would be to great benefit to him and your sister who he is married to

I am not being harsh or a smart ###, I am being absolutley serious. Before he buys a car, he should do some research, not all car lots are the same, some are good to do business with and some are not. Before he signs on to a company, again, he will want to do some research. If he and your sister decide to have a family, again, this skill will be necessary, researching schools for his children.

I am not defending CREngland, I do not like or agree with the way they run their business. That is why I would never do business, such as go to school at, or drive for, with them.

I am also amazed that he didn't pick up on more while he was there, I mean, even if the training was horrible, somethings aren't rocket science and can be picked up on by watching or figuring it out for yourself.
No school, even the best of the best teaches you everything, and even he best trainers with the best of intentins to teach you everything can only do so much,there are always going to be things you need to figure out for yourself. So you may not want to baby him either and let him fight and figure some things out for himself, he is going to have to learn how or just remain a victim the rest of his life.

 

I find it funny people listen to that first day speech and don't walk out.Maybe they changed but in the late 90's it was along the lines of "Yeah we may pay less per mile,less for detention/layover.But we will make you run way more miles so you come out making as much as other companies"

Translation "We will pay you below average so you have to work harder to make the same as you would elsewhere".

I left at that point.

From what we have heard on every post on England trainers no amonunt of hounding will get trainer willing to do anything but spend all time not behind the wheel in the sleeper and falsify log books .
Your questionable defense of England is useless against the credible statements of others .

 

not all cr england trainers are bad, there are many horrible ones i agree but i had a phase one that i wish i could go back to driving with him, guy knew his stuff and knew how to make you understand it too. I drive for them but am seriously looking at getting out once i have enough experience to go somewhere else.
