that is a crock to force company drivers to team if they dont want to just makes it harder to match people up that live in the same area.

I started a new thread on here, but I'll ask again. What about O/Os leasing on to CRE? Anyone doing that with success?

I'm sure they lease O/Os on, but I don't personally know of any.

I know I talked about this with one of my trainers. I think (not positive on this) the truck had to meet criteria of CR Englands specs. You would have to drive the 10 days with a trainer to show you were competent.

Some how I think they have a clause of some form that requires you to get a rig of their spec or some such thing.

not all of there trainers are compatent though so how does cre say some of these trainers are compatent to say there are people are the same? etci had a trainer with a bad case of road rage during bad traffic that he past someone and slamed his brakes on to get even with the other driver for doing the same so you tell me that that all trainers are compatant

For the record, I'm a trainer, and I'm competent. That said, I talked to a trainer at a Pilot in barstow, CA...who had his trailer tandems all the way to the rear...in California...he said "that's what it took to scale the load".

A trainer, and an experienced driver, who had never learned about California bridge law. I guess he'll learn when he gets whacked with one of those $1200-1500 tickets.....

im saying not all trainers but some trainers are not compantant to even be a trainer the way i see (in my opinion) should know the bridge law to a certian point and train not drive for five minutes then have a trainee drive his time when the trainee is out of hours and not have road rage but have paitence with the trainees

he will have a 1200 to 1500 dollar lesson which is very expesive one to learn

4000 a week isnt that tough. Its less than 600 a day. If you cant run 600 a day you should run otr, unless you dont care about the money. I personally agree that home time is important there are alot whom do not wish to go home every week. Its just what you want.

Home time to me was a desire that the DM would respect, if I am off duty, dont expect me to answer the phone just because he had a hot load of beer that I would not be able to deliver in time (lol it was a general broadcast to anyone near maryland, how Maine is near maryland I couldnt convince him).
