Craigslist makes it's money from charging for job postings. So the companies are paying for those ads. Compared to Monster and other sites, CL is cheap. Hence the reason you see 20+ or so of those ads.

I answer the ads and tell them I'm interested but they need to go to my age verification website just so I.know they are real.

The last place I would trust to find a job is Craigslist . Call me old fashioned but I still walk into the office and talk to the boss man about a job not a web page .

But then after 32 years I have yet to work for a bottom feeder mega company . I don't see it happening any time soon either .

Since when? The jobs section is how craigslist makes money as it costs money to post ads there. And they are more than willing to take money from anyone and everyone who is willing to pay for an ad. Or ten ads. Or twenty. It has always been that way. If may not happen as much in the trucking jobs section, but its the norm in many other job sections to see ads for jobs at fortune 100 companies.

Push out the locals? How exactly? I don't believe Craigslist places a limit on the number of ads that can run in a particular section on a particular day. The local ads are still there, you just have to scroll through to find them. Is it really all that difficult?

I'm pretty sure craigslist started charging a small fee to post in the jobs section, at least in some markets.

Craigslist doesnt charge for job ads. I use it quite a bit when im searching for a co-driver. I never paid anything and my ad appears right there with the knight, crst and stevens transport ads.

BTW here in springfield mo it is alot of stevens transport,

Old Fashioned.......Best paying job I have ever worked is off of Craigslist. Times change. things change. The days of doing it that way are over; maybe a 1% chance of it happening now.

Unless your prepared you to "retire" this second; its not wise to state what you will or will not do. Karma is a *#^&@^

I know you are more then financially able to walk away and retire and live comfortably like all of us.

Shoot I'd have wads of cash in my wallet if I didn't have a wife, a teenager and a bratty 3 year old at home. :)
