eyeballs are eyeballs and that’s what you want right ?
ive even recently seen ads begging for drivers in a newspaper .
the old fashioned kind of newspaper that’s actually paper -
Conventional wisdom used to suggest that if they had to advertise , there was a reason.
(How come they are short handed or can't keep a driver) but nowadays who knowsLast edited: Feb 28, 2022

I know a good small regional flatbed company with about ten trucks , back to the home terminal lot on weekends
They will hire and train new drivers
only problem is with only ten trucks you cant offer fancy medical Insurance benifits and 401k and satellite internet in the trucks .
that’s scares most new drivers away
They’ve had several leave in the last year but each has had a different reason
And they have several drivers that have been there for several years .
they either stick around for years or bail in a few months .Lonesome, plague300 and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
Some people even if pay is 100k a year they just can’t grasp the thought of getting their own 401k and going to healthcare.gov -
Here for example there aren't a lot of opportunities, so a good place has more applicants than openings.
Good jobs seldom hit the street, someone has told their friends and family, etc about how good the job is. No need to advertise or always be hiring -
Craigslist. Just don’t do the modeling gigs. I tried one of these one time because the ad literally assured me that the work was honest. Nothing to lose here, these are honest people, I thought to myself. I woke up many days later, in a strange place. My car had been stolen, my dog had been beaten, my wallet was missing, and I didn’t know my first name. My kidney was missing.
pete781693 and TheLoadOut Thank this.
