No, but it did take me two hours to do it!
Lets see if I can get these pics to work, if not, they'll have to wait till tomorrow night! -
Looks good to me. If you place your bungees as high up as you can get them, it will keep the tarp from blowing out.
BTW, you can pick up cases (50 bungees) of 21" bungees at any Utility Trailer for around $35. If you can find them, Tedelyne is a great brand name.leadfoot80 Thanks this. -
Looks good.
The only thing i would have done different is leaving a.d-ring between where i hook them. That way you interlace them too for when you have extra tarp on the bottom to secure.
I can't tell in this picture, but also close the s-hook opening on the bungee too. If you don't, the tip will rub a hole in the tarp.leadfoot80 Thanks this. -
Looks good to me. It would have been nice if they would have been long enough to touch the deck but you have to work with what you have.
Don't forget to put your bar away. Lolleadfoot80 Thanks this. -
I started out running my bungees through the D-rings (instead of the grommets at the edge), but it seemed like it was letting the bottom edge of the tarp flop around too much so I switched over to the grommets. I did put a bungee in the higher D-ring at all four corners of each tarp -- seemed to help hold the edges down a bit better.
You mean hook into the first grommet, down through the rub rail, back up to the second grommet, then instead of going from the second, down through, back up to the third (like I did), you would go from the third, down through, and back to the fourth?
(Btw, those bungees came with the s-hook closed! Saved me having to spend an hour with a pair of pliers! lol)
Yeah it would have.. unfortunately, on the short notice I had, I wasn't able to purchase new ones.. and literally the only ones I could find were these 4' drops. And by the way, I almost forgot my bar. *Almost*!!MJ1657 Thanks this. -
Leave a d-ring between where you hook the bungee. Every d-ring has a bungee on it though.
1 to 3, 2 to 4 , 3 to 5, 4 to 6 etc..... -
You must use longer bungees than I did! I cant remember what size you said you use, but these are only 21" and barely reached from one to the next--there's no way I could skip one and go to the next, unfortunately. I'm thinking about picking up some 31" bungees and trying that next time though. If there is a next time! For now, I'm back to hauling un-tarped freight!

It's been 20 years since I pulled flats.
