I'm really wanting to own my own truck. I don't go a day without thinking of it. But my credit is horrible. I've been talking to as many owner ops that will talk to me. Talked to one guy the other day at the pilot that said to try and lease a truck from another owner operator. I asked him if there was a website and he had no clue. Does anyone know of a website with that in mind? Thanks in advance!

I have never heard of anyone leasing a truck from another owner operator, doesn't sound like any better of an idea than leasing from a company.

Some of the l/p companies will lease you a truck with no credit check. CRST I think is one.

If you can save up money and make a good down payment, you can get a buy it with payments and own it after 3-4 years and then you will have a worn out truck that you can trade in on a newer truck, There are also lease/purchases that are pretty good, I have been looking at the john Christner Lease Purchase that looks pretty good, they just recently changed it from a straight forward payment to you paying on a sliding scale according to the number of miles that you run in the week. You always have a set amount but then you are charged for the miles driven. Good Luck!

DO NOT go into a lease yet. Get money together. Start repairing your credit. You're contemplating going into business. Unless you do it right you will fail.

Ummmmm...ANYBODY stupid enough to get locked into something like that needs to learn simple math. That's about 400% interest or so. That interest rate is a guess but probably close.

That's no different than any other lease purchase.

i think you missed the unspoken point of my post

and yes that would be $102,500 for a 25k truck, almost enough to buy myself a bran new glider ;-)
