Exactly my point Eddie if they have a large number of failures in their lease program a company that knows they are the first taste of trucking for these would not and should not lease to new drivers. And before you go and say they are not being forced to lease and they should know what they are getting into. You do not take advantage of people just because they are naive. It is about money even if the lease was a fair deal to which I am not saying it is or not at CRE. Cause with every new hire that leases with CRE look at what that company saves in benefits? So yes friend they would push the lease deal off on a blind man if they could. I am a lease op at a company and we take students but you have to have 90 days teaming with an experienced driver than you go solo company than after 1 yr you can lease

Of course, we kinda didnt have an option when we decided to lease, mainly because it was either wait upwards of two weeks for a new truck or lease. The truck we had was at the end of it's lease and needed to go back. But at the time, not only were they making teams mandatory, they were only carrying a maximum of 250 company trucks so the latest order of new trucks that was made got cancelled and instead of waiting around with our thumbs up our backsides waiting on them to get us a new truck somehow, we figured at that point that leasing cant be that bad so thats what we did so we could get back out on the road. -
You are right Eddie there can be and are alot of reasons drivers terminate their lease and I would say that i am sure alot fall on the drivers either not being prepared for this industry or whatever. That is the reason I made the point of it being wise for drivers to wait at least 6 mos to a year. I am sure there are drvrs that pickup things fast and are ready alot sooner than others so please don't want guys and gals who went straight into leasing to jump on me. i am speaking about the majority and no I do not have numbers in front of me. Just my opinion not bashing CRE they are in business to make money and alot of companies have figured out instead of having having alot of company trks with turnover might as well do a bigger lease program that way there were no benefits being paid to or for a driver event if it was a short term
