Is there anyone else that might possibly be going there? Or is currently in training? I had some questions I hope someone could answer.
Looking at Google Maps, it appears the hotel is just across the OH/IN border, but the school is about 10 miles down I-70 behind an old school bus plant. Is this accurate? My wife is dropping me off since we only live an hour away and I want to make sure I end up in the right place.
How many people are in the classes? In my first CDL school, we had about 25 people in our class, and 4 people to a truck when we were on the road and range.
Is the Econo Lodge nasty? Will I need a haz-mat suit, lol?
And before anyone starts posting the negative stuff, I've read enough and have also read the good. CRE is the only company that can get me in a truck, and for the least amount of money. I do not plan to give in to a lease deal, now or ever. If I want my own truck, I'll save up and buy it on my own. If things go well with miles and dispatchers, then I will stick with them as long as possible. If not, I will at least get my 6-12 mths experience in and move on to another company.

^ I'm in the same boat as you regarding England. Will only be going there as a company driver for a few months exp. and not Lease. Good luck.

Anyone interested in my experience at the Richmond, IN CRE school can follow my progress by visiting my facebook page in my signature below.
So far it hasn't been bad, and they haven't tried to force feed you the lease deal like others say. Only about a 30-45 minute discussion about it and that was all. And the hotel I'm in is decent, a comfort inn an exit east of the school.
We should be on the road and range by Thursday and with a trainer next Thursday. -
I am doing the refresher in Dallas.
-
I'm doing the school in Fontana The 30th of this month, staying there for 6 months and then moving on if needed...

I hope it all goes well for you.
So what are you hoping to do in 6 months? -

That is all that i look forward of doing with CR England than move on to a overall better company. -

-
I'm considering the refresher program, I would appreciate any feedback you guys could share about your experiences. Thanks, and good luck in your training.
